Stay for a While

Stay For A While

I
Chrysanthemums rust
like ancient monuments
but your love is stronger
than the river’s current.
Even when the force is lost,
the staleness, floating, stillness-
feels like home.
Wherever I am, wherever I flow
I am the river.
It runs through me and in me;
Like opened floodgates
sweeping voraciously across
hillcrest mountains,
there too, I am, floating
and coming for you.

II
To sweep you in rapture
and cleanse your old
ways of living, I do this
for you. I dive into the
cracks of the long
forgotten citizen
living in the depths
of isolation and disconnection
from society. From the
anxieties of modern living,
sexual longings, eternal
nights of desire and lust,
contemplation and
loneliness; Hand them
to me
if you must.

III
No need to be blue
like the water, yellow
suits you best. It brings
out the darkness in you,
the kind I like best.
I watch you
from the riverbank
as you drift
along the way,
you float just
like a daydream
a cloud,
a fleeting moment,
some call
this life.

IV
You wear your
brokenness with vigor,
crashed pendants you
call “Dior” Subtle
glances you make
to me as you smile,
my mouth tastes
infinity
as you drift by
I hear myself scream

stay for a while!
